Synopsis
In this series, we are following a girl named Auren who is fae. She’s had a rough childhood after leaving her homeland and as she got older her fae powers started to manifest. Her whole body is gold-colored, but she can turn anything into gold as well. She couldn’t control her powers at first and many have died because of that.
A handsome man named Midas runs into her and over time she begins to trust him. He makes Auren his favored saddle to keep her close and use her power, and Auren is fine with that since she feels safe and protected.
One day Midas travels to another kingdom and has Auren travel separately, but her journey is interrupted by pirates. However soon after she’s rescued by a feared commander named Rip who is also fae. This begins her story of self discovery and finding true love.
My thoughts
This series is so great, I just read Glow and I can’t wait for the next book to see what Annwyn is like now. The plot is not that predictable like I have an idea of what could happen in the next book but you never know.
This is a slow-burn romance because things don’t really go down until book 3. It would be cool to see his POV of when he first found her. Speaking of, they have good chemistry and the smut is steamy as well. I do like a powerful, confident, dirty-talking man, and Slade checks those boxes. 😉
There are multiple POV’s of different characters that make up the whole plot so it’s not just about Auren’s story.
