Synopsis
This series is about a girl named Audra who is the queen of the Moon Kingdom. She’s half-fae and has a lover/best friend Lord Zadicus. However, she’s technically married but her husband Raiden has been exiled to The Edges. A spell was put on Raiden so that he could lose his memories, and because of that Audra finds out he’s about to get married to a woman he met there.
She goes to The Edges and kidnaps Raiden and places him in the dungeon. She visits him from time to time to try and reverse the spell, meanwhile her kingdom is at risk of going to war. Raiden is the King of the Sun Kingdom and his people don’t think Audra is good enough for him. They want her to cancel their marriage and return him to his kingdom..
Zadicus is not happy that she’s trying to keep Raiden because he was promised to marry Audra instead. While Audra gets ready to go to war, she struggles to make an important decision. To fight for what her heart desires or what’s best for her kingdom.
My thoughts
I guess I’ll start with I have never been more irritated with a character 😆. Audra is so stubborn and kind of toxic. I admire Zad for being sooo patient with her.
But I enjoyed this story. It is dual POV and easy to get into. There is spice literally starting from page 1 😆
Book 2 is a continuation of the first book. We get to know Zadicus even more and there’s still some push and pull between him and Audra. She goes through some character development that makes her a better person which is great. The author does a great job in closing out the story and giving us a glimpse of their lives some years later. So I would definitely recommend this one!
